A Spring Trip in the Gorge at the Klickitat Treehouse

During a sunny spring week in April, I spent a few days in the woods at the beautiful + magical Klickitat Treehouse in White Salmon, WA. It was such a sweet and cozy home nestled among the trees where we were able to get some fresh air and relax in nature. Our trip was filled with journaling, reading, sipping on warm tea, playing card games, relaxing, exploring the small town nearby, wandering through the Gorge and embracing the gorgeous nature around us. I was in awe throughout the entire stay and it’s definitely one of my favorite trips to this day.

I hope you enjoy all of the photos from this getaway, the local spots around the area + get inspired to spend some quality time in the beautiful outdoors.

As soon as I stepped inside I immediately fell in love with the minimalist, mid-century modern + effective design of the small space. I couldn’t get enough of the brown tones, natural light and the black accents throughout. Every single touch of this place was so thoughtful and perfect which made the stay that much more relaxing and comforting.

During the trip I wore some of my favorite pieces from United by Blue - all of their products are sustainably-made and designed for the outdoors. The camp shirt, striped linen tee and organic military jacket were so comfortable to wear while relaxing at the treehouse, making a cup of tea and exploring outside.

Outside of the treehouse was just as stunning as the inside - I instantly caught a glimpse of the beautiful view of Mount Adams in the distance. One of my favorite things to do while I was here was grab my book, a hot cup of tea and read outside on the deck to start my day. Not to mention the birds were chirping in the background the entire time - it was a truly sweet + magical experience.

COR CELLARS

Wine tasting at COR Cellars in Lyle, Washington was an all around lovely experience. The entire bulding and vineyard was absolutely beautiful with a rooftop area and private tents for group tastings. We got to try an array of their delicious wine, walk around the gorgeous property and immerse ourselves in the sunny scenery.

WHITE SALMON BAKING CO.

On the last day of our stay, we decided to stop by the local bakery off the main street in White Salmon to pick up some homemade chai and a fresh baked loaf of rustic white bread. It was a sweet and delicious way to start our morning.

COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE - Latourell Falls + Women’s Forum State Park

The Columbia River Gorge is such a breathtaking part of the Pacific Northwest. One our way back home, making a couple pit stops along the Oregon side of the gorge was definitely a must. We took a short hike to Latourell Falls and then went to the Women’s Forum State Park to take in all of the scenic views.

I felt so rejuvenated after this trip and enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Klickitat Treehouse. Between the interior design and the peacefulness of being out in the woods, I was inspired to create a place of my own just like this someday and live a similar way of life immersed in nature.

It was a relaxing and lovely getaway to say the least. This trip will always have such a special place in my heart.

With much love + care,

Savannah Karee
